It is great for traveling. Just the right length and it is light weight. I ordered a large even though I usually wear a medium. I do not like a tight feeling coat.Love the color fit and lengthThis coat is very very light. It keeps me warm with several light layers underneath down to around 39-40 Fahrenheit. I’m comfortable down to 30 degrees adding a thick wool sweater, (and hat and gloves and scarf of course). . The hood is light but I added detachable fur and that warmed it up. However, below 30 degrees the cold starts to knife right through it, no matter what, since it’s just thin material. I’m 5’6 and 164 lbs with average proportions and am often “cold” . I bought an XX large and it’s roomy but that’s fine. I normally wear a “large” in US sizes and occasionally a “medium”. The roominess of the XX large will work on the trip I’m taking because I always need to carry gloves and an umbrella in my pockets and sometimes other stuff. That doesn’t work if my coat fits more tightly. The pockets sadly have no zippers though. It’s made in China, hence order at least one size up. As I said I ordered two up and it’s loose. It’s a boxy fit, not really form fitting so kind of clunky looking rather than svelte. But with my bulging pockets I’ve got to choose practicality. If it gets below 30 on my trip I plan to wear it as a “layer” unbuttoned underneath my also boxy light spring black coat. I tried that and the two layers kept me warm below 30 and didn’t look strange. That was due to my spring coat hiding it completely and they are both black so they blend together. I may bring pins to pin it into my Spring coat if the temps stay below 32 for a while on the trip so it really will just look like a “liner” when I take it off. It’s a challenge packing Winter to Spring with a carry on bag! If you’re not dealing with below 40 weather it’s perfect and should be fine up to 60 degrees too, since it’s so super light and down oddly “adjusts”. . It must do that on the birds too :-) .I like the way the coat fits. I ordered up a size in order to be able to wear bulky sweaters if I wanted. I wish it had more down filling but it is great at wind breaking and does keep me warm. I like the way the way the sleeves fit at the wrist. I think the value for the price is a little lacking though. This very lightweight puffy coat works very well for my needs. Although it is very lightweight, I wore it in 45 degree weather (not windy) with a lightweight shirt underneath, and I was comfortably warm. Not sure how it would be in freezing cold weather, and I haven’t tried it in snow or rain. The coat comes with a small pouch for packing, which I haven’t tried, but I think this is definitely an easy to pack jacket for travel. As far as size fit, I am 5’4” and weigh around 130 with fairly equally distributed body proportions. I usually wear a medium in coats. I was concerned that if I ordered a medium, the coat might be too small based on other reviews. But I took a chance on the medium and it is perfect IF I keep clothing layers to a minimum and don’t wear anything really bulky underneath. In my case, If I were to want to wear bulky clothing or a lot of layers underneath then a large might be better. That said, it is a somewhat body hugging fit; the waist is tailored close and is not adjustable. The length is exactly right for what I wanted; 3 or 4 inches above the knee. The construction quality seems fairly good, pockets are roomy.Bought for my daughter and she loved it, fits great and warm enough for her as well. Only issue was it had two zippers attached and the inside pocket didn't get stitched shut so we'll have to fix that ourselves but for the price I was happy with the product. When I tell you this little Jacket is so warm and so comfortable to put on an easy to wear with almost anything. I did not think that it was gonna be this warm but it is!!!! It comes in a small package which makes you think that’s not going to fit. Surprise it fits and it works!!! I’m surprised how warm it is sometimes… I’m even too warm in minutes.. Wonderful Surprise and a Good buy! The price for the product is worth it! I got a quickly so give it a try think you’ll love it!!I was worried about the size because of the comments, which said it ran small. I ordered a large, and it is true to the measurements found at the bottom of the description page. Not too snug at all. I could easily wear a sweater underneath. This is my second puffer jacket. My first one was a "Faded Glory" jacket sold by Walmart, only it was waist length, whereas this one is extends to below the thigh.I was in love with my Faded Glory jacket. Unfortunately, my dog's claws tore a hole in the sleeve, and this material is difficult to repair. I stitched it up by hand, but have been afraid to wash it for fear that it would come undone and spew feathers everywhere.I thought the material on my Faded Glory was delicate, but the material on this jacket seems even thinner, and even more likely to tear. It's not at all durable, and I would never trust it to withstand any rugged/outdoor activities. Also, this jacket has a bit of a glossy sheen. Not too much, but I would still prefer a more matte look. Not a huge complaint, but it also seems to have a little less filling than my Faded Glory jacket, which always kept me warm. But this would probably still do the trick in cold weather. Something I do love about this coat is that it's really long, which makes a huge difference! There's only one thing I dislike enough to consider returning it. According to the picture and product description, this jacket "features a compact silhouette for a feminine look." NO. It does not. Not even a little. This coat is box shaped, and about as flattering as oversized menswear. Unlike the picture, there is no fitted waist. It is not designed to compliment a woman's figure. My old puffer jacket was actually slimming, and I felt cute wearing it. This one, however, lives up to its "puffer" name. Only, I don't want to feel "puffy," I want to feel cute.Loved the colour, Loved the not-to-heavy weight. Warm and ideal for the car and our snowy Canadian winters. BUT after a few weeks the filling started to leak from the outer fabric and now my black car seats are covered in tiny white fibres, too bad for me, I would have purchased another one exactly the same.I had read a review that the jacket smelled like the duck was dead a week before the feathers were harvested but I chose to ignore it thinking it was just one defective product. As it turned out the jacket did smell when I wore it to go out. Funnily enough when I tried it on at home there was no smell. I sat on the bus next to a young man and took a whiff of that raw smell and thought it was coming from him so I immediately switched sits. Of course the smell followed me because it came from the jacket. I had to take it off and the rest of my walk to work was not pleasant as it was a cold windy day and I had to carry the smelly jacket exposed in my hand. Contacted the sellers Wantdo and although they were apologetic they further insulted me by offering me $10 in return for keeping the jacket?!!!. As if I'm trying to scam them. Really? That added insult to injury!!.I've worn this jacket for about 3 days now and I really like it. It's warm, not a full-on winter coat but a good cold fall days coat (Toronto). The zipper was a bit stuck when it arrived and I had to work at it for a minute or two but it seems okay now. I like the feel of the jacket and I like the packing bag, as I intend to use it for travel. I wore it in the (light but persistent) rain this morning for about half an hour and it kept me dry. It is light and nice to wear. I am pleased with this purchase.I have now had this coat for about 2 months and I love it, so ordered another color. It will be perfect for travelling (when I can again, lol) to wear from home to airport, then pack in it's travel bag to use as a pillow on the plane. I've had a shorter version of a down filled packable coat, but only goes to my waist. This coat falls just above my knees. For reference, I am 5'3", weigh about 170lbs and large fits perfect with room for a flannel hoodie underneath if needed. I have also washed both of them on hand-wash/delicate cycle using laundry detergent for down-filled items that I use for my winter comforter. Dried on low heat with 3 tennis balls. Both coats came out super puffy, and have not had any down leaking out before, or after washing. Love them, but my only criticism and why a 4star, is because of interior 'pockets' that only required stitching the bottom seam to become an actual pocket. I solved this by using strips of velcro to create a bottom seam, so now I have true interior pockets :)I like the warmth it provides with light weight. It is compact for travel
